A little less useful on a guard as (if availble) they can at leat agro copy to get back up to speed or there abouts. Definately using for a warden though as they have no catch up skill (short of agro leeching like hell)

well an extremly good solo combi that can too be used in group is. Guardians pledge + warriors heart+ ( trillh of danger and ignore the pain if neded)+depp breath: this combi can turn the tides of battel while getting a lot of morale (above 500 on my level 49 guard) and protection through guardians pledge (wound removal and power too maybe) then use depp breath and you can do it again :D
sorry if my spelling sucks

Q: What is "Shield Use Rank"?

A:

Something that occurred to me reading the guides above...

If you're with another tank in a raid and need to swap aggro to them and make sure they hold it, would it be sensible to lock aggro on them by switching briefly to OP and using the taunts?

Sounds counter-intuitive, but apart from Challenge, in OP these apply a DETAUNT meaning you can drop aggro quicker, especially the single-target ones like Fray the Edge and Shield-bash.

Just make sure the other tank is next in line and expecting the hopefully coordinated swap. :D I guess I'd try swapping out the belt/stance before doing aggro dropping skills, but yeah it's a good idea to try out atleast. :)

Easy way for two guardians needing to switch agro:

Tank with agro is tanking in threat stance. The other tank does not have threat stance on.

When a swap is required: New tank agro copies, then activates threat stance, then begins building threat normally. Old tank then deactivates threat stance.

*PING*

This still works pretty well if only one of them has threat stance, or if the other tank is a warden.

Well apart from the obvious that it's a bloody pain in the ass to get aggro back off a Guardian, on a Warden. >.<
So if there is a way for the Guardian to actually reduce their current threat - and not just a modifier on a timed debuff (note: 'perceived threat' =/= actual threat; it just applies a multiplier to modify it for a short while!) - then that would be a good thing to use, imo. :)

Lies, just sit there and wait until the force taunt runs out.
