STICKY - How To Post Events Properly

Post by Balthelion » Sun Aug 14, 2011 11:47 pm

  1. Give your thread a clear subject - This should include the name of the event and a date (preferably the time too) - e.g - "BG (Durchest) - Sun 14th Aug 8pm GMT"
  2. Type your post as usual
  3. Under "Options" set "Post Topic as:" to "Announcement". This will make your topic appear in a separate section at the top of the page, to indicate that it is a future event.
  4. Under "Stick Topic For..." enter a number of days to stick the topic. This should be set to expire the day after the event. For Example: I am posting on the 13th. I have an event on the 18th. I Stick for 6 Days (until the 19th). Alternatively, just leave it as 0 (permanent) and remember to manually unstick the thread yourself after the event (by setting topic type back to "Normal" after the event).
