I had fun too.
Regarding Minstrels Yule. The base healing from skills are so high that tact mastery has a diminishing return. Mine has 40k tact mastery so I still have 60% something increased outgoing healing, which helps.
I've found it working in newer T2 instances, haven't tried the new raid on T2 so not sure it works in that but I suspect so.
Having lots of morale also helps me. First, I'm lazy, so with high morale I don't have to worry that much about my self = 1 less in the group to keep track of. Second, I generate lots of aggro so I'm bound to take damage especially from ranged enemies since they are often the hardest to pick up by a tank. To counter that I try to stay within 20 meters from the one I'm healing. With the aoe healing from Bolster, Chord and Inspire I can keep myself up while healing a fellow.
This also a good idea for the rest of the group, stay within 20 meters from the tank and you get heals just by standing there. Ofc not always doable depending on the mechanic, but good as a general.
Just as an example. I pressed Bolster once on my self while standing idling in Galtrev craft hall
* Bolster Courage applied a critical heal to Obilla restoring 18,253 points to Morale. (main heal)
* Bolster Our Courage applied a critical heal to Obilla restoring 16,283 points to Morale. (the aoe from Bolster)
So I clicked 1 skill and got 34k worth of heals. A non crit would be around half.
Whether this is good, fun or in the spirit of how Minstrels used to be, is for another discussion.
How a chump get it to work I'm not sure yet.
I've posted a link in General Advice section about an Essence gear calculator. There you can test different settings without having to spend loads of coins in-game.viewtopic.php?f=17&t=2551
